Yuqi Zhang, known professionally as Rachel Zhang, was born on May 8, 2002 in Huangshi, Hubei, China. She is a Chinese singer-songwriter who began her musical journey at an early age, learning singing, composing, and dancing. In 2013, Zhang participated in the Children's Singing Program of Hunan Television Let's Sing Kids and gained significant attention, earning the nickname "a musical nuclear weapon." Following this, she released her first EP New Sound Class One with other participants from the show. In 2019, Zhang won the championship in the Tencent Video music talent show The Coming One Girls (also known as The Coming One 3), securing her breakthrough moment. Zhang's achievements include winning the Future Shock Award at the Freshasia Music Festival on October 31, 2019, and performing at the 2020 Breakthrough Prize ceremony.
