Rachael Magoola, born in 1966 in Uganda, is a singer, songwriter, and politician. Her musical journey began at home under her father's guidance, who was a music teacher. She sang in the church choir and played instruments from a young age. Magoola joined Afrigo Band, arranging much of the music and choreography. In 2001, she formed her own group, which recorded three albums: Inhaife, Tyenda Wundi, and Tonyiiga. She left Uganda for the United Kingdom in 2003. Magoola has released six albums: Inhaife (1997), Tyenda Wundi (1998), Tonyiiga (2000), Atubembe (2001), Songs from the Source of the Nile (2005), and Eisadha (2008). In 2021, she was elected to Parliament as the women's representative for Bugweri District under the National Resistance Movement.
