Biography
Ramirez is an Italian electronic dance music project consisting of producers Davide Rizzatti, Elvio Moratto, Ricki Persi, and Colombian singer Alex Quiroz Buelvas. The project began on the label DFC. Their breakthrough came from the single "La musica tremenda" in 1991, which became a dancefloor hit and is considered one of the classic techno tracks. Notable tracks from their discography feature "Baraonda", "Orgasmico", "Terapia", "Mamasutra", "Hablando", "Chupa Chupa", and "El Gallinero". The track "Bomba" reached number 23 on the Swiss Hitparade in 1994. The single "Acelerando" entered the top 10 of the German Dance Charts in 2002. Ramirez's music featured on various techno and dance compilations, with many samples from their songs appearing in modern dance tracks.
