Punaiset Messiaat, a Finnish punk rock band from Porvoo, formed in 1991. The group initially gained traction with their early releases such as Punainen inkvisitio EP and Neljä tarinaa pikkukaupungista (op.3) / Kohti vapautta ja sosialismia!!. In 1993, they were signed to Levy-yhtiö. The band's style evolved from punk and hardcore punk to progressive rock, with notable songs like "Punk on pop" and "Oma rotta". Their breakthrough came with the release of Back in Business!! in 1995. In 1997, lead vocalist Piet Raakalainen moved to London, leading to a temporary hiatus. The band reunited briefly in 1999 but disbanded shortly after. They released Ãlä osta, varasta! in 1997.
