Psihomodo Pop, a Croatian rock group, was formed in 1983. The original lineup included vocalist Davor Gobac, guitarist Neven Kepenski, bassist Smiljan Paradiš "Šparka", drummer Tigran Kalebota, and saxophonist Branko Banjeglav. They gained attention in the mid-1980s with their Ramones-influenced punk rock sound and energetic live performances. Their debut album Godina Zmaja was released in 1988, featuring hits like "Kad sam imao 16" and "Frida". The band's popularity grew with international tours, including performances in the Netherlands and the Soviet Union. Notable albums include Sexy Magazin (1990) and Tko Je Ubio Mickey Mousea? (1992).
