Prozzäk, a Canadian virtual pop music duo formed in 1998 by Jay Levine and James Bryan McCollum, initially gained recognition as members of The Philosopher Kings. Their breakthrough came with the comedic song "Europa", which led to the creation of Prozzäk. The duo's animated alter egos, Simon (Levine) and Milo (McCollum), were designed by illustrator Scott Harder. Prozzäk released their debut album Hot Show in late 1998, featuring hit singles "Sucks to Be You" and "Strange Disease", which earned them four Juno Award nominations. Their second album, Saturday People, was released in 2000 and included the singles "www.nevergetoveryou" and "Be As". In 2005, they reunited for their third full-length release, Cruel Cruel World. In 2015, they released several new songs, including "Baby I Need Your Love (Pussy Cat Pussy Cat)", followed by "Love Me Tinder" in 2017, leading to the album Forever 1999. The duo went on a farewell tour in 2019, but later reunited for performances in 2022 and 2023. A compilation, Ready Ready Set Go, was released in 2002.
