Biography

Prozzäk, a Canadian virtual pop music duo formed in 1998 by Jay Levine (born Jason Levine) and James Bryan McCollum, initially gained recognition as members of The Philosopher Kings. Their breakthrough came with the comedic song "Europa", which led to the creation of Prozzäk. The duo's animated alter egos, Simon (Levine) and Milo (McCollum), were designed by illustrator Scott Harder. Prozzäk released their debut album Hot Show in late 1998, featuring hit singles "Sucks to Be You" and "Strange Disease", which earned them four Juno Award nominations. Their second album, Saturday People, was released in 2000 and included the singles "www.nevergetoveryou" and "Be As". In 2005, the reunited for the third full-length release, Cruel Cruel World. In 2015, they released several new songs, including "Baby I Need Your Love (Pussy Cat Pussy Cat)" and "Love Me Tinder", leading to the album Forever 1999. The duo continued touring until their final performance in 2019. A compilation, Ready Ready Set Go, was released in 2002.
