Biography
PragVEC is an English post-punk band from London, formed in 1978 by Susan Gogan and John Studholme. They initially included David Boyd on bass and Nicholas Cash on drums. They released their first single "Wolf" (1978), followed by "Expert" (1979), both on Spec Records. In 1979, they released the album PragVEC (1979) on the Celluloid label. In 1980, they released the album Spec Records Presents No Cowboys (1980). They toured with bands like Cabaret Voltaire and Scritti Politti and participated in three Peel Sessions for John Peel's BBC Radio One show. They utilized electronic sounds prominently on their album, including the EDP Wasp synthesizer. They disbanded in 1981. John Studholme died in 2005 due to a long illness.
