Biography
Post Animal, an American psychedelic rock band formed in 2014 in Chicago, initially consisted of Dalton Allison, Jake Hirshland, Javi Reyes, Wesley Toledo, Matt Williams, and Joe Keery. The group began their career by self-releasing the EP Perform the Most Curious Water Activities (2015) and a collection of singles titled The Garden Series (2016). They gained traction through tours with notable acts such as White Reaper and Twin Peaks. In 2017, Post Animal signed with Polyvinyl Records and released their debut album When I Think of You in a Castle (2018), which included the singles "Caught in the Trap" and "Violet." The band supported Cage the Elephant on their UK tour in February 2020. In 2025, Joe Keery rejoined the group for their album IRON, marking a significant milestone as they embarked on extensive tours across the United States and Europe.
