Biography
Popperklopper is a German punk rock band from Trier and Bollendorf, formed in 1989 from a former school band. The group gained initial traction with their debut recordings at the Kultursyndikat in Bitburg in 1994 and subsequently signed with Nasty Vinyl. In 1996, Popperklopper recorded their first album, Kalashnikov Blues, at Hannover's Lost and Found studios. Over the years, they evolved towards rock 'n' roll, blending German and English lyrics with socio-critical and personal themes. Other albums include Wer sich nicht wehrt⦠der lebt verkehrt (1997), Alles wird gut (2000), and No Compromise (2004). Popperklopper toured extensively in Europe and Russia, including a two-week tour in Russia in 2005. They celebrated their 20th anniversary with a DVD release in 2010 under Aggressive Punk Produktionen. Other notable albums include Was lange gärt, wird endlich Wut! (2010) and Wahnsinn Weltweit (2023).
