Biography

Pointed Sticks, a Canadian punk rock/new wave band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 1978. The group initially consisted of Nick Jones on vocals, Bill Napier-Hemy on guitar, Tony Bardach on bass, and Ian Tiles on drums. They were the first Canadian act signed to Stiff Records but faced financial issues that prevented an album release under this label. Their debut single "What Do You Want Me To Do?" was released in 1978. The band's first studio album Perfect Youth was released in 1980. The band's original members reunited for a Japanese tour in 2006 and continued to perform sporadically until 2012. In 2009, they released the album Three Lefts Make A Right. The band returned to the stage in June 2015 for performances on Vancouver Island and at the Khatsahlano Street Party.
