Biography
Poem Rocket, an experimental art rock/noise rock band from New York City, formed in 1992 and consisted of Michael Peters and Sandra Gardner on vocals and guitar/bass respectively, along with Dennis Bass on guitar. They began their career by releasing a few 7" singles and a 10" EP, which were later compiled into the album Felix Culpa in 1995. Their debut full-length album, Infinite Retry On Parallel Time-out, was released in 1998 under PCP Entertainment, a subsidiary of Matador Records. The band's lineup evolved over time, with notable members including William Shin, Ian Christe, Andrew Nelson, Peter Gordon, and Mike Knowlton. Poem Rocket signed with Atavistic Records for their concept album Psychogeography in 2000. Their double album Invasion! was completed in 2006 and released the following year.
