Biography
Platitude, a Swedish progressive power metal band, was formed in 1995. The group established a permanent lineup two years later and released three demos before signing with Italian label Scarlet Records in spring 2002. Their debut album Secrets of Life followed that same year. In May 2003, Platitude joined the Danish heavy metal band Manticora on a European tour and later supported the British progressive metal band Threshold. They released two more albums, Nine in 2004 and Silence Speaks in 2006. The band also signed new distribution deals with German Metal Heaven and Japanese King Records in late October 2005 for European and Japanese markets respectively. Platitude disbanded in 2008.
