Biography
Ancient Bards, an Italian symphonic metal band, was founded in 2006 by Daniele Mazza and Martino Garattoni. The group's initial lineup included Sara Squadrani on vocals, Alessandro Carichini on drums, Claudio Pietronik and Fabio Balducci on guitars. Their EP, Trailer Of The Black Crystal Sword Saga, was released in 2008. In 2010, Ancient Bards released their first full-length album, The Alliance Of The Kings (The Black Crystal Sword Saga Pt.1), marking the beginning of their epic saga. This was followed by Soulless Child in 2011 and A New Dawn Ending in 2014. In June 2018, they announced their fourth album, Origine (The Black Crystal Sword Saga Part 2), released in 2019. Their fifth album, Artifex, was released in 2025.
