P.K. 14 (short for Public Kingdom for Teens) is a Chinese post-punk and new wave band formed in Nanjing in 1997 by vocalist Yang Haisong, guitarist Xu Feng, bassist Sun Xia, and drummer Yang Sen. Regarded as one of the pioneering and most influential acts in China's independent rock movement, the band relocated to Beijing in 2001 following the release of its debut album, Go Upstairs and Turn Left. Despite numerous lineup changes, P.K. 14 has remained centered on Yang, with later members including Xu Bo, Shi Xudong, and Lei Tantan. Their subsequent releases include Who and Who (2004), White Paper (2005), City Weather Sailing (2008), 1984 (2013), recorded with Steve Albini, Music for an Exhibition (2015), What We Talk About When We Talk About His Name (2018), and Appearances (2025).
