Juan Felipe RamÃrez Calderón, known as Pipe Calderon, was born on August 31, 1983, in MedellÃn, Colombia. He started his musical career playing guitar and became the principal guitarist for the vallenato group Los Gigantes del Vallenato. In 2011, he released his debut album No Te Vayas, transitioning to reggaeton as a solo artist. His breakthrough single "Te Gateo" was released that April. Pipe Calderon continued with albums including Se Lleva en la Sangre (2012) and History (2018). Notable songs include "Asi Es Mejor" (2017), "Tus recuerdos son mi Dios", "Vuelve", "Apaga el celular", "Pa mi nada más", and "De remate". He was nominated for several awards, including Best Artist of the Year and Best Urban Artist of the Year at Premios Shock, Nuestra Tierra, and Mi Gente TV. After years of singles and collaborations, he returned with full-length projects in 2023, releasing Back 2 The Game and Never Stop, then expanded his international feature run with âSolo Quiero Amarte (En Vivo)â in 2024 with Corazón Serrano. In 2025 he stayed active with cross-border collaborations including âMe Dueleâ with La T y la M and Corazón Serrano and âAguardienteâ with Daniel Calderón and Los Gigantes del Vallenato, alongside additional singles such as â¿Ya Para Qué?,â âLloraré,â and âTu Amor.â La Verdadera Esencia, his fifth studio album, arrived in December of that year.
