Biography

William Kenneth Alphin, known professionally as Big Kenny, was born on November 1, 1963, in Culpeper, Virginia. He is an American country music singer who began his career by recording the solo album Live a Little for Hollywood Records in 1999, which was eventually released in 2005. Before forming the duo Big & Rich with John Rich, Alphin fronted the band luvjOi and had local success. The duo signed to Warner Bros. Records and released three studio albums: Horse of a Different Color (2004), Comin' to Your City (2005), and Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace (2007). Their collaboration yielded several singles, including the Number 1 hit "Lost in This Moment". Big Kenny's solo career includes the album The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy, released in 2009. He also founded Glotown Records in 2009.
