Biography

A songwriter and melodist, his first songs were written after the Liberation: "Le Dimanche matin" (1948, for Jack Hélian), "Couci couça " (1949, for Aimé Barelli and Lucienne Delyle) and "Le Chant des moissons" (1950, for Jacqueline François). He scored his first big hit in 1953 with "Ah, les femmes!", sung by Eddie Constantine (for the film Cet homme est dangereux).
