How long ago were the impertinent days of Jean Yanne, Coluche and Pierre Desproges, who would certainly be banned today in the name of political correctness. Pierre Desproges has always wielded an acid, grating sense of humor, in the tradition of Jacques Martin's Petit Rapporteur, which made him a household name from 1975 onwards. Then came the terrible and sinister Tribunal des Flagrants Délires, where he was a ruthless prosecutor between 1980 and 1983. Pierre Desproges made a late stage debut in 1986, before being struck down in 1988 by the cancer he never ceased to mock. The twelve CDs of L'intégrale, released in 2001, are a must for black humor.
