Biography

Born on 16 August 1995 in Bangkok, Thailand, Viphurit Siritip, known by his nickname Phum (ภูมิ), is a Thai singer-songwriter who was catapulted onto the world's stage in 2018 with his hit single "Lover Boy." He grew up in New Zealand and began exploring his interest in music as a child, playing the drums and guitar, before moving back to Thailand aged 18 where he began his professional music career. He started out posting both original and cover songs on YouTube and signed to indie label Rats Records. He issued his debut album Manchild in 2017, which was followed by two internationally successful singles, "Long Gone" (2017) and the aforementioned "Lover Boy." His first EP Bangkok Balter Club, also released via Rat Records, arrived in 2019 followed by the Phum Viphurit on Audiotree Live EP that same year. In 2020, he teamed up with Hwang So-yoon for "Wings" and dropped in as a featured artist on "On the Sunny Side of the Street" (陽の当たる大通り, Hi no Ataru Ōdōri) by Maki Nomiya. His second full-length album, The Greng Jai Piece, arrived in 2013 via Rats Records.
