The indie-pop act Boy Pablo is the brainchild of multi-instrumentationalist Nicolas Muñoz. Born in the late 1990s to parents originally from Chile, he was raised in Norway. He learned numerous instruments as a child and studied music at school. He issued his debut single, âFlowersâ, under the Boy Pablo moniker in 2016. Later that year, he was awarded a Bergenfest scholarship, giving him the money to record his self-titled 2017 EP which included the track âEverytimeâ, a viral hit that brought him international attention. His follow up EP, 2018âs Soy Pabloâ, featured âLosing Youâ, a number 2 smash in Norway that was his biggest hit to that point in his career. He assembled a backing band, played live often, and issued his debut LP, Wachito Rico, and had another top 40 success with the recordâs leadoff single, âHey Girlâ, a sweet-natured love song about the romantic longings of being a teenager.
