Biography

Phil Pritchett, born September 4, 1971, is an American rock and roll musician from Texas. His musical journey began at age 13 with a Van Halen-style cover band. In high school, he was part of the acclaimed trio the Suburbans before they disbanded in 1990. Pritchett then formed the acoustic duo Romantic Embargo while studying history at Southwestern University. After going solo in 1996, Pritchett built a large regional fan base performing original music across Texas and the South. He founded Spitune Records in 1995 to independently release his music. Pritchett began touring consistently in 2002, often playing over 150 shows a year. In 2006, he opened Trinidad World Recording to produce his album High Tide in the Heartland (2007) and later produced records for various acts.
