Peter Lauch is the stage name of Horst Christ, a German schlager singer who was born in Lahnstein. He achieved professional success in the 1960s performing with the group die Regenpfeifer. They made their chart debut with the single âDer rote Tangoâ (1961). The ensemble achieved a major breakthrough with the song âDas kommt vom Rudern, das kommt vom Segelnâ (1964), which reached Number 1 on the German charts. Their discography includes the studio albums Nichts für SpieÃer (1965), Die fröhliche Rille, and Peter Lauchs Sex Magazin. In 2006, their primary hit returned to the German charts through a cover version by the group De Randfichten.
