Biography
Peccatum was a Norwegian avant-garde metal band from Notodden, formed in 1998. The group consisted of Vegard Sverre Tveitan, known as Ihsahn, Heidi Solberg Tveitan, known as Ihriel, and Lord PZ. Peccatum's debut album, Strangling From Within, was released in 1998. In 2000, the band released their second album, Amor Fati. After Lord PZ left the group, Peccatum released Lost in Reverie in 2004, which was followed by the EP The Moribund People in 2005. Both releases were published under Mnemosyne Production, a label co-directed by Ihriel and Ihsahn. The band disbanded on March 4, 2006, with Ihriel and Ihsahn choosing to focus on their respective solo projects.
