Makala, whose real name is Jordy Makala Mrapula, is a Swiss rapper of Congolese origin born in Geneva. Active since the 2010s, his energetic, singular style stands out as a member of the XTRM Boyz collective, alongside Slimka and Di-Meh. He marked a turning point in his career by joining Colors Records, a key label on the Swiss music scene. In 2016, he made his mark with the collaborative mixtape Full Metal. Two years later, his debut album Radio Suicide (2018) catapulted him onto the French-speaking scene with standout tracks like "Ocho" and "Fucktout", hailed for their artistic audacity. In 2020, he returned with Chien Bleu, an acclaimed album that consolidated his status with notable tracks such as "Big Boy Mak" and "Mode Avion". In 2022, he continued his ascent with Ciel Rouge, a hard-hitting album, followed in 2024 by Charme, an introspective project marking a new stage in his career.
