The Pat McGee Band, an American rock band from Richmond, Virginia, was formed by frontman Pat McGee. After releasing his solo album From the Wood in 1995, the band signed with Warner Bros. Records subsidiary Giant Records and released their major-label debut album, Shine, in April 2000, featuring the national singles "Runaway" and "Rebecca". The band's second album, Save Me, was released in March 2004. After being dropped by Warner Bros., they were picked up by Kirtland Records, which re-released an enhanced version of Save Me with the radio single "Must Have Been Love". Drummer Chris Williams died on October 28, 2006, from complications due to a heart condition. By June 2007, the band had severed ties with Kirtland Records and began recording independently again.
