Part Chimp are an English noise rock ensemble from Camberwell, London, formed in 2000. The group was established by the musicians Tim Cedar, Jon Hamilton, and Nick Prior. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by extreme volume. After Iain Hinchliffe joined on guitar, they released the debut studio recording Chart Pimp (2003). Following Prior's departure in 2004, Joe McLaughlin joined the ensemble on bass. Their discography includes the studio recordings I Am Come (2005) and Thriller (2009). The ensemble became inactive in 2011 but resumed activity in 2016. Their recording career includes the studio recordings Iv (2017), Cheap Thriller (2018), and Drool (2021). They achieved professional recognition for the tracks "Bring Back the Sound" and "War Machine". Their discography includes the live recording Reduce to Clear (2009) and the compilation Early Chimp (2022).
