Biography

K-pop singer Parc Jae-jung was born in Seoul, South Korea, on December 25, 1995. He launched his solo career after winning the fifth season of Superstar K5, a South Korean talent show television series, in 2013. His debut single, "Stalker," was released that November and peaked at Number 68 on the Gaon Singles Chart. Parc Jae-jung then teamed up with rapper Beenzino for the follow-up single "Ice Ice Baby," which climbed to Number 56. Both songs were included on his debut EP, Step 1, which was released in July 2017 and charted at Number 15. Before releasing a second EP, Lyrics, in 2019, Parc Jae-jung continued to build his career with appearances on television soundtracks like The Call, Feel Good To Die, and The Tale of Nodku, the latter of which featured his Indonesian hit "Sunshine Wind Starlight You." He also collaborated with artists like Kyuhyun (with whom he released the Number 66 radio hit "Two Men" in 2016) and Park Bo-ram (who appeared on his 2019 single "Alone"). Although largely known for singing pop ballads, Parc Jae-jung continued to expand his sound in 2020, performing Kim Dong-ryul's "Should I Say I Love You Again" on that year's Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend (Little Star Special) and teaming up with JeA, Hayoung, Eunkwang, and Cheetah for the collaborative single "With A Song."
