Biography

Papa Doo Run Run, a band from Cupertino, California, United States, was founded in 1965. The band initially formed as The Zu and later changed their name to Goodie Two Shoes before settling on Papa Doo Run Da Run, which they shortened to Papa Doo Run Run. Their first major release was the single "Be True to Your School" in 1975, produced by Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys. The band gained significant traction as the opening act for Jan & Dean between 1976 and 1980. Notable collaborations include performances with members of the Beach Boys and appearances in the 1978 CBS biopic Deadman's Curve. Subsequent releases include Santa Cruz (2001), On the Beach (2004) and Greenifornia (2008).
