Paolo Benvegnù, born on February 14, 1965, in Milan, Italy, was an Italian singer-songwriter. He began his professional music career in 1993 with the alternative rock band Scisma, with whom he released three albums between 1995 and 1999. His solo debut came in 2003 with Piccoli Fragilissimi Film, followed by albums including Le labbra (2008), Hermann (2011), and Dell'Odio Dell'Innocenza (2020). Benvegnù received eight nominations at the Targa Tenco awards, winning in 2024 for best album with à Inutile Parlare D'amore. He also worked extensively as a producer and composer for artists such as Mina, Marina Rei, and Irene Grandi. His final public appearance was in 2024 on the Rai 3 program Via Dei Matti n°0. Benvegnù died on December 31, 2024, at the age of 59.
