Ãzdemir ErdoÄan, born on June 17, 1940, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a Turkish singer and songwriter. He received early musical training from his mother, a classically trained pianist, and began performing at family gatherings at a young age. ErdoÄan's first notable single "Duyduk Duymadık Demeyin" / "UzaklaÅma Benden Ãyle", released in 1968, sold over one million copies and was awarded gold status. He initially gained recognition through his jazz performances and later ventured into Turkish pop music. In the early 1970s, ErdoÄan founded his own band and released several albums, including Sivrisinek Saz ve Caz Orkestrası (1973) and Canım Senle Olmak İstiyor (1977). His work often blended jazz with traditional Turkish music. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Istanbul International Jazz Festival in 2016.
