Outrageous Cherry was an American psychedelic/power pop band from Detroit, Michigan. Formed in 1991, the group initially performed live in 1993 and expanded to a four-piece lineup. Outrageous Cherry released their self-titled album in 1994, followed by X-Rays in the Cloudmine and Stereo Action Rent Party in 1996. Notable releases include "All In A Chain" (1995), Nothing's Going to Cheer You Up (1997), and Out There in the Dark (1999). The band continued with albums like The Book of Spectral Projections (2001) and Supernatural Equinox (2003). Larry Ray, the band's guitarist, passed away from lung cancer on October 24, 2017.
