Biography

O.T. Genasis had a rocky entry to the music industry when a deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records didn't pan out, but a subsequent move to Busta Rhymes' Conglomerate Records saw his career take off. Born Odis Oliver Flores in Atlanta, Georgia on June 18th 1987, O.T. Genasis grew up in Long Beach, California, listening to artists such as Cutty Ranks, Buju Banton, T.I., Ludacris, Tupac Shakur, Shabba Ranks and 50 Cent. Flores signed to G-Unit in 2011, releasing his official mixtape debut through them in 2012. It was when he moved to Conglomerate and signed to its parent label Atlantic, however, that things began to happen. He released "Touchdown", featuring Busta and French Montana, and the cocaine-themed "CoCo", with the latter making it to Number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and Number five on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Flores' full-length debut was slated for 2015, though it was 2016 when Coke N Butter arrived with the three singles "Do It", "Cut It" and "Push It".
