Osmar Héctor Maderna, born on February 26, 1918, in Pehuajó, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, was a musician, pianist, conductor, composer, and arranger. He began playing piano at a young age and formed his first orchestra, Vitaphone, at the age of 13. In 1938, Maderna moved to Buenos Aires and joined Manuel "Nolo" Fernández's orchestra before becoming part of Miguel Caló's ensemble in 1939. During this period, he composed notable works such as "Jamás retornarás" (1942) and "Qué te importa que te llore" (1942). In 1945, Maderna formed his own orchestra and achieved significant success with compositions like "Concierto en la luna" (1946) and "Pequeña" (1949). He passed away on April 28, 1951 in an airplane crash. Maderna's contributions to Argentine music were recognized posthumously, with his ashes being moved to a memorial monument in Pehuajó in 2014.
