Biography

Hailing from Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, Orquesta Salas is a Latin orchestra created by producer Angel Salas that emerged on digital platforms in the mid-2020s, positioning itself in the salsa and sonidero-oriented Latin scene with a focus on romantic, dance-floor-ready arrangements. The project’s early visibility came from its reimagining of the ballad “Acaríciame” as “Acariciame (Version Super Dengue),” a track that circulated in salsa and sonidero playlists before being formally packaged on streaming services. In July 2025 Orquesta Salas made its official recording debut with the single "Amantes Cobardes," released by SMG, introducing a modern salsa romántica sound. Two months later, in September 2025, the group followed with "CIEN VELAS," also on SMG, further defining its style with tightly arranged horns, prominent percussion and sentimental lyrics. On November 28, 2025, Orquesta Salas issued its first extended release, the four-track EP NUESTRO PRIMER BAILE PT1, featuring “Acariciame (Version Super Dengue),” “El Malo,” “Yo No Soy” and “Seduceme (Bonus track),” consolidating its core repertoire on a single release and cementing “Acariciame (Version Super Dengue)” and “Cien Velas” as its most streamed songs across platforms.
