Biography

Orquesta Kaliente de Iquitos, a Peruvian cumbia group from Iquitos, was founded in 2001 by Rubén Sara. Initially performing covers, they gained local fame and released their first album in 2004 featuring hits like "Mala hierba" and "Vete de mí". In 2005, Dominican artist Eddy Herrera covered their song "Como hago", leading to a joint tour across Peru the following year. The group's international breakthrough came with tours in Ecuador (2008) and Europe (2009), performing in cities like Rome, Milan, Madrid, and Barcelona.
