Rotlaus, a Norwegian band formed in Ãrsta in 2015, initially consisted of Bjørn Marius Ãyehaug, Levi André Leite, and Simen Rebbestad. The group started as a cover band before releasing their first single "Kvilelaus" in December 2015. In March 2016, Rotlaus debuted with the album Bygderamp, which reached number 10 on the Norwegian album charts. The following year, they released their second album PÃ¥ vei, which peaked at number 4 and remained in the top 40 for over 160 weeks. Notable singles include "Berre i natt" (2018) and "Vakker og vill" (2020), the latter reaching number 7 on the Norwegian single charts. Rotlaus received multiple nominations for the Spellemannprisen, including "Album of the Year" in 2018 and "Party Music" in 2021 and 2022. The band's music is characterized by its blend of folk-rock elements and has been described as "Dorfrock."
