Open Air Stereo was an American rock band from Laguna Beach, California, formed in 2001 by Chase Johnson, Kelan Hurley, Braeden Hurley, and Ryah Arthur, with Nick Gross joining in 2002. Initially known as Stulpigeon, they played covers before transitioning to original material. In 2006, the band gained national exposure through MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and released their self-titled EP in 2005. Following this success, they signed with Epic Records and released two albums, Primates (2013) and Living Proof. In 2008, Kelan Hurley and Braeden Hurley left the band, leading to a hiatus later that year. Chase Johnson and Nick Gross reactivated Open Air Stereo in 2010 with Scott Pounds on guitar and Dan Pappas on bass. By 2016, the band had disbanded.
