Biography
Omnium Gatherum is a Finnish melodic death metal band formed in Karhula in 1996. The group initially released four demos and an EP before signing with Rage of Achilles to release their debut album, Spirits And August Light, in April 2003. This album garnered attention within the underground metal community. Omnium Gatherum then signed with Nuclear Blast Records for their second album, Years In Waste, released in 2004. The band's lineup changes included Jukka Pelkonen replacing Antti Filppu as lead vocalist in 2006. Their subsequent albums, such as The Redshift (2008) and New World Shadows (2011), received positive reviews and charted on the Finnish national album charts. Notable tours included performances with Dark Tranquillity and Rotting Christ. The band's ninth studio album, Origin, was released in 2021.
