Biography

Oliver/Dawson Saxon, a British heavy metal band from the United Kingdom, was formed in 1995 by former members of Saxon, Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson. Initially known as Son of a Bitch, they released their debut album Victim of You in 1996 under Hengest Records. In 1997, a legal dispute over the use of the name "Saxon" led to a court ruling that required Oliver and Dawson to relinquish the rights, resulting in the band's renaming to Oliver/Dawson Saxon. The band continued touring Europe and released their first live album Re://Landed in 2000. In 2003, they contributed to the compilation The Second Wave: 25 Years of NWOBHM. Their first studio album under the new name, Motorbiker, was released in February 2012 and followed by a live album Blood and Thunder - Live in August 2014.
