Oh Mercy was an Australian indie rock band formed in Melbourne in 2006 by Alexander Gow and Thomas Savage, former students of De La Salle College. The duo initially gained attention as their music received high rotation on Triple J from 2007 onward. In 2009, they released the EP In the Nude for Love, which included tracks such as âLay Everything on Meâ and âSeemed Like a Good Idea." Their debut studio album, Privileged Woes, was released the same year. Over time, the band expanded into a full lineup including members such as Eliza Lam, Peter McDonald, Rohan Sforcina, and Simon Okely. In 2015, Oh Mercy won the ARIA Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album for When We Talk About Love. Their later studio album Café Oblivion was released in 2018.
