Ocasional Talento, born Hiroshi Claudio Ishida Ruiz in La Paz on May 6, 1996, emerged from a childhood steeped in the arts and skate culture to become a pivotal voice in Bolivian hip hop. He began his musical journey under the name Hi-yakuza before adopting the alias Ocasional Talento in 2018. His debut EP SÃLIDO (2020) blended boom-bap with jazz, soul, and funk influences and marked the beginning of a multidisciplinary approach that also led to the creation of the jazz-rap collective Vinilo 54. That same year, he contributed to their debut track âYou and I,â while continuing to shape his solo career through critically noted singles like âEn el medioâ (2021), âUn último intentoâ (2021), âLIMBOâ (2022) with Jotty Roots, âStereo Breakâ (2022), âSold Outâ (2024) and âLa Primaâ (2024) with Los Prana. His work earned him nominations at the Bolivia Music Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Urban Artistâwinning the latter in 2024. He performed at multiple editions of Respira Bolivia and became known for championing an authentic and introspective lyrical style. In December 2024, he published his debut poetry collection ¿Cuántos perros te persiguen?, and in early 2025, gave his final concert at Nuna Espacio Arte before passing away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 29.
