Obed Bermúdez, known professionally as Obie Bermúdez, was born on January 10, 1980, in Aibonito, Puertoâ¯Rico. He began his musical journey influenced by his familyâs background and moved to Vineland, New Jersey, where he recorded his first demo in 1996. In 2003 he released the album Confesiones, which produced three Topâ¯10 hits on Billboardâs Hot Latin Charts. The following year he released the studio album Todo El Año, whose title track entered the Latin pop Top 10 and earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Album. In 2006 he released the single "Sigo con Ella" and the album Lo Que Trajo El Barco. The next year he issued Solo Exitos. Throughout his career he has collaborated with Juanes, Paulina Rubio, and Juan Luis Guerra during U.S. tours in 2003, and participated in the 2009 recording of Songs of the Capeman with Danny Rivera and Ray de la Paz. His singles "Todo El Año" (Salsa Version) and "Vida de Colores" (Versión Salsa) achieved significant radio play, and his music featured in Telemundoâs âAsi Se Bailaâ and films such as âAl Revésâ. In 2016, he released his fifth studio album, #Cambios.
