Muriel Alvesâpopularly known as O Murielâwas born in Goianésia, Goiás, and received his first guitar at age eight, beginning his musical journey amidst church gatherings and family performances. By 13, he was singing at school events, and at 14 he won his first major talent contest at a police military school's festival. At 17 he self-recorded his debut CD in Goiânia, gaining local traction with âVagabundo Cachaceiro.â By 20, he won songwriter and vocalist awards at Rádio RVC in Goianésia for âEstado Graveâ (2018), earning radio airplay and a music video. Transitioning into the forró genre, Muriel Alves began releasing tracks such as âOrquestrãoâ (2024), âRancho do Vaqueiroâ (2024), âApaixonado em Tuâ (2024), and âBúfalo do Marajóâ (2025), all of which exceeded one million streams across digital platforms by 2025. His rising popularity led to partnerships with Chandon Produções to develop a national-level DVD project and bolster his presence across live circuits.
