Novi Fosili, a Croatian pop band, was formed in Zagreb in 1969 by drummer Slobodan MomÄiloviÄ and bassist Marinko Colnago. The band has sold millions of copies, which cemented their status as one of the most popular music acts in former Yugoslavia. Their first release was the single "Kad NaÅ¡ Brod Plovi" (1970). In 1976, Rajko DujmiÄ joined, and they achieved a breakthrough with "Diridonda" at the Split Festival in 1977. That year, ÄurÄica BarloviÄ became the lead vocalist. Their first album with her, Da Te Ne Volim (1978), included the hit "Da te ne volim". The band released several successful albums including NedovrÅ¡ene PriÄe (1980) and Budi Uvijek Blizu (1981), the latter of which sold over 712,000 copies. In 1982, BarloviÄ left the group. Novi Fosili continued with various lineups, achieving significant chart success in Yugoslavia.
