Biography
Novembar was a Serbian punk rock band from NiÅ¡ formed in 1991. The band's origins trace back to the group Studeni Studeni, formed in Zagreb in 1986 by frontman Goran KostiÄ, which recorded the EP Äisto kao suza (1990) before disbanding due to the Yugoslav wars. After relocating to NiÅ¡, KostiÄ formed Novembar, featuring Aleksandar ÄokiÄ on guitar, Toni Kostadinov on bass, and Goran SaviÄ on drums. Their debut album Deguelo was released in 1994, featuring a guest appearance by Milan MladenoviÄ. Their second album Blues južne pruge (1996) featured cover versions of songs by Fleke and Zvijezde. The band released their third album Licem prema zemlji in 2000. Novembar went on a hiatus but reunited in 2005, releasing the compilation Ko je Sunce ubio (2007), the cover album Radulizam (2008), and the studio album Proklet (2013). Following KostiÄ's death in 2017, the group released their posthumous final album Novembar in 2019 and held a farewell concert.
