Northern19 was born Ken Kentaro Kurokawa on 25 February 1994 in Tokyo, Japan, and served as the lead vocalist of the Japanese punkârock band Northern19. He began playing guitar at a young age and formed the group with fellow members in 2010, gaining local recognition in the Tokyo punk scene. The band released its first EP, CATCH ALL YOUR STUFF!!, in 2010, followed by the single "SUMMER CHILDREN" in 2011, marking their first national exposure. In 2012, Northern19 signed with CATCH ALL RECORDS and launched the debut album YOUTH MOVEMENT 05, featuring the single "SUMMER CHILDREN" which entered the Oricon charts at Number 32. The group continued to release FROM HERE TO EVERYWHERE in 2013, and "SUMMER CHILDREN" in 2014, while embarking on extensive tours across Japan, including the "10 DAYS" festival circuit. Their collaborative work with bands such as HUMI and At Anytime broadened their audience, and they were featured in the 2015 "HUMI Can Not Behaved!! Tour". In 2023, Northern19 released "CATCH ALL YOUR STUFF!!" and the EP, FIVE FLESH, in 2026.
