Biography

Norman Nawrocki, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a Canadian musician, comedian, sex educator, cabaret artist, author, actor, producer, and composer. He co-founded the "rock 'n roll cabaret" band Rhythm Activism with Sylvain Côté. In 2001, Nawocki and Aidan Girt, drummer of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, formed a duo called Bakunin's Bum, leading to the release of their recording Fight to Win! that same year. In 2004, Norman released his first solo album, Duck Work. Throughout his career, Nawrocki collaborated with various artists and produced multiple albums under his own label, Les Pages Noires. In 1993, he created I don’t understand women!, one of several anti-sexist, sex-positive performances.
