Nolan Strong and The Diablos were an American R&B and doo-wop vocal group from Detroit. Formed in 1950, the original lineup included Nolan Strong on lead tenor, Juan Gutierrez on tenor, Willie Hunter on baritone, Quentin Eubanks on bass, and Bob "Chico" Edwards on guitar. Their breakthrough came with "The Wind" (1954), a classic among R&B and doo-wop fans. The group recorded for Fortune Records, releasing notable songs such as "Adios My Desert Love", "Mind Over Matter", and "The Way You Dog Me Around". Nolan Strong was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1956 and returned in 1958. Their song "The Way You Dog Me Around" reached number 12 on the Billboard R&B chart in January 1956. Nolan Strong passed away on February 21, 1977, in Detroit.
