Biography
American folk (pop and rock) singer-songwriter Noah Kahan was born in Stafford, Vermont, on January 1, 1997. He made a name for himself on the Internet with his first songs, written at the age of eight, and, as a teenager, abandoned his studies to devote himself to music. Signed to Republic Records, he worked with producer Joel Little, releasing the track "Young Blood" in 2017, which garnered millions of listens. The following year, the title track of the Hurt Somebody EP (ranked #22 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers) was re-recorded with Julia Michaels and brought the artist his first success, ranked #14 in Australia and #24 on Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs. This version appears on the album Busyhead (2019), alongside four other extracts. After duets with Chelsea Cutler and Mxmtoon and the Cape Elizabeth EP in 2020, Noah Kahan collaborates with Joy Oladokun on the track "Someone Like You", included on his second album I Was / I Am (2021), and embarks on his first headline tour. In 2022, the track "Stick Season" heralds the album of the same name, which reaches #2 on the Billboard 200 and #1 in Canada and the UK. The reissue Stick Season (Forever), released in February 2024, features duets with Post Malone, Lizzy McAlpine, Kacey Musgraves, Hozier, Brendi Carlisle, Sam Fender, Gracie Abrams and Gregory Alan Isakov. After collaborations with Jay Oladokun ("We're All Gonna Die"), Zach Bryan ("Sarah's Place") and Kelsea Ballerini ("Cowboys Cry Too"), Noah Kahan released his fourth studio album, The Great Divide, in April 2026. Rated No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and in the UK, it includes the No. 6 title track and other hits including "Porch Light" (No. 20).
