Dilaw, a Filipino rock band formed in Baguio, Benguet, was established in 2021 by singer-songwriter Dilaw Obero and guitarist-instrumentalist Vie Dela Rosa. Initially an alternative hip-hop duo, the group expanded into a full indie rock collective with the addition of Wayne Dela Rosa on bass guitar, Leon Karlos Altomonte on guitar, En Altomonte on keyboards and synths, and Tóbi Samson on drums.
After performing independently in their first year, Dilaw signed to Warner Music Philippines and released their debut single "3019" on April 29, 2022. The track references Republic Act Number 3019 (the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act) and is an alternative hip-hop song with jazz rock elements that narrates the effects of corruption and injustice in government. Dilaw achieved commercial breakthrough with the single "Uhaw (Tayong Lahat)", which gained the record for the biggest single-day streams for an OPM song on Spotify Philippines and topped Billboard Philippines Songs for three consecutive weeks. Following its success, they released their debut extended play Sansinukob in March 2023. Dilaw was included on the NME 100 as one of the most essential emerging artists worldwide in 2023.
